Cookie Policy

Introduction
This Cookie Policy explains how Skopos, Inc. (“Skopos”, “we”, “us”) uses cookies and similar technologies on the Skopos Platform.
“Cookies and similar technologies”covers more than just browser cookies. In addition to cookies, Skopos uses your browser’s localStorageto store certain information — specifically your cookie consent preferences, campaign attribution data (when you arrive from a marketing link), and Mixpanel analytics identifiers. We use the term “cookies” throughout this policy to refer to cookies and these similar local-storage technologies collectively.
Your Choices & Consent
When you first visit the Skopos Platform we present a consent banner. Cookies in the Analytics and Marketing categories are off by default and are only set after you opt in. You can change your choices at any time using the control in the footer. If your browser or extension signals Global Privacy Control (GPC), we automatically treat Analytics and Marketing as denied without any further action on your part. California residents can also use our Do Not Sell or Share page.
Cookies We Use
The table below describes the cookies and similar technologies used on the Skopos Platform, organized into the same four categories you can control from the cookie preferences panel: Strictly Necessary, Functional, Analytics, and Marketing.
| Category | Technology / Identifier | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly Necessary | next-auth.session-token | Maintains your authenticated session. Required for login functionality. |
next-auth.csrf-token | Protects against cross-site request forgery attacks. Required for security. | |
| Functional | skopos_cookie_consent | Stores your cookie consent preferences so we don’t ask again on every visit. |
skopos_ui_* | Remember your display and interface preferences, such as sidebar state and table settings. | |
| Analytics | mp_* (cookie & localStorage) | Mixpanel product-analytics identifiers, persisted in your browser’s localStorage. Help us understand how the platform is used so we can improve it. Set only with your Analytics consent; cleared when you opt out. |
| Marketing | li_fat_id, gclid, utm_* | Ad click identifiers and campaign (UTM) parameters that may appear in the URL when you arrive from a LinkedIn or Google ad or a tracked marketing link. Used to measure which campaigns bring users to Skopos only when stored or forwarded with your Marketing consent. |
skopos_attribution (localStorage) | A first-touch / last-touch record of the campaign parameters above, stored in your browser’s localStorage so it can be attached to a sign-up or contact form if you submit one. Stored and forwarded for attribution only with your Marketing consent; cleared when you opt out. |
Strictly Necessary cookies cannot be disabled as they are essential for the platform to function. Without them, authentication and security features will not work.
Functional cookies help us remember your choices and provide a more personalized experience.
Analytics cookies and localStorage are off by default and are set only after you grant Analytics consent. You can withdraw consent at any time through your cookie preferences or browser settings, which clears the stored Mixpanel identifiers.
Marketing identifiers are off by default for attribution storage and forwarding, and are used for attribution only after you grant Marketing consent. They let us attribute sign-ups to advertising campaigns. You can withdraw consent at any time, and we honor Global Privacy Control automatically.
Third-Party and Advertising Technologies
We use Mixpanel for product analytics to understand how users interact with the platform. Mixpanel stores anonymous usage identifiers in your browser (under the mp_* keys) and we hash identifiers such as your email before sending events, so we do not send Mixpanel raw personal identifiers.
We do use a limited form of advertising attribution. When you arrive from a LinkedIn or Google advertisement or a tracked marketing link, we may capture ad click identifiers (LinkedIn’s li_fat_id and Google’s gclid) and UTM campaign parameters, and store or forward them for attribution only with your Marketing consent. Standard web infrastructure may process requested URLs, IP address, and device/browser information for security, fraud prevention, diagnostics, and operations. Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) this disclosure of advertising identifiers may qualify as “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not sell your personal information to data brokers, and we do not share your information with third parties for their own independent marketing. You can opt out of this sharing at any time on our Do Not Sell or Share page. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
Managing Cookies
You can control and manage cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to:
- View what cookies are stored and delete them individually.
- Block third-party cookies.
- Block cookies from specific sites.
- Block all cookies.
- Delete all cookies when you close your browser.
Please note that disabling strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from signing in and using the Skopos Platform. If you disable functional cookies, some features may not work as expected.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the cookies we use or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. We encourage you to review this policy periodically for the latest information on our use of cookies.
